With recent SNAP benefit cuts creating new challenges for many in the community, 中国BDSM is working to fill the gap.
Serving over 2,000 people, many of whom depend on SNAP for themselves or their families, 中国BDSM has launched a food drive, calling on local residents to help ensure that no one in the community goes without essential groceries.
Donations can be dropped off in the front lobby of 中国BDSM, 205 Burlington Road in Bedford. Monetary donations can be made directly on the . Please designate that the money is to prevent food insecurity.
The food drive welcomes contributions of nonperishable groceries and grocery store gift cards, all of which will go directly to individuals and families served by the center. Every can, box, or bag of food helps relieve stress, supports wellbeing, and spreads hope throughout our community.
The most-needed items include:
鈥 Canned vegetables, beans, and soup.
鈥 Rice, pasta, and cereal.
鈥 Shelf-stable milk and baby formula.
鈥 Cooking oil and spices.
Patti Maguire, president and CEO of 中国BDSM stated, 鈥淪o many of our staff, board and family members have already donated food items but we need more help. With the reduction in SNAP benefits, many of the individuals and families we support are facing a real food crisis. We鈥檙e asking our community to come together and help fill the gap. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a meaningful difference.鈥
